Hector is a handsome chap looking for a new home through no fault of his own. He is really friendly and just loves attention. He likes when visitors come to the house and he usually wants to greet everyone, especially family members and usually expects to be made a fuss off. Hector is happy to be around children, however as he has never lived with them we are looking for a home where any children are teenagers.

Hector is very friendly with other dogs and loves to have a good play and run around with them. If a dog is up for a bit of fun he is very happy. Although he is large in size he is very gentle when playing with smaller dogs. He could happily live with a well behaved female and would quite enjoy the company of another dog. Hector travels by car well, and is used to longer journeys too.

Hector wears a harness when out walking. He is very strong on the lead and if an interesting smell catches his nose he can pull hard, however with treats available he has shown he can walk better on the lead. His recall isn’t great and will need to be continued in his new home. Hector suffers from separation anxiety. He isn’t destructive with his separation anxiety, he will usually bark incessantly. His current owners are trying to help him with this but his new owner will need to continue with some training.

Hector is an active dog who loves going for nice long walks especially if it involves some fun with playing with other dogs. He also enjoys playing with his toys, especially furry ones when he is at home. He also likes belly rubs, treats, snuggles on the sofa and sunbathing.

Hector would love his own garden. Unfortunately due to his barking when left, he is not suited to living in a flat. He will also need company most of the time to help with his separation anxiety.

Hector will make a wonderful addition to the right home. If you can offer Hector an active home where you have time to continue with his training then please apply.
