Peaches would like to be the only dog in the home.
Live With Cats:
Peaches is not suitable to live with cats.
OLD DOG SCHEME:
The Dog Aid Society’s Old Dog Scheme covers dogs re-homed at 8 years old or above. This means that the Society will cover costs for veterinary care for the dog for the remainder of their life within reason. We do not cover costs for routine treatments such as vaccinations, worming and flea treatment. If the dog requires special dietary food we will contribute 50% of the cost.
This will alleviate the worry of the financial implications taking an older dog into your home. Older dogs make great pets! Why not consider an older dog?
Sweet little Peaches is looking for a nice quiet home for her to call her own. She is a timid girl who would make a great companion for someone who would love the company of a wee furry friend. Peaches just needs an understanding owner who will let her settle at her own pace. She would love an owner who could help her to build up her confidence without putting too much pressure on her. Peaches is blind in one eye however this does not phase her at all.
Once Peaches has built up a relationship with you she is very friendly and loves being made a fuss off. In her new home she will need time and patience for her to settle in and get used to being in the company of a new family. She can be quite timid around strangers and will cower if someone tried to approach her outside. When visitors come to the house she is very friendly once she knows you and has spent some time with you. Peaches is looking for a home where there are no children living in the home. She would be ok with visiting children, however they would have to give Peaches her space and not pester her.
Peaches doesn’t ask for much in the way of exercise and is quite happy to go for 2 shorter half hour walks during the day. Unfortunately she isn’t great off lead when out on a walk, and is always kept on a lead which she walks well on. In the garden if you shout on her she will come running over especially if you have a yummy biscuit. Peaches is nervous around dogs and her current owner tends to avoid walking in places where there are a lot of dogs. Peaches likes to keep her self to herself when out walking. Peaches is happy to be left for a couple of hours and is not destructive in any way. She travels well in the car. Peaches will require grooming and is quite happy to go to the groomers for a tidy up.
Peaches just loves cuddles and the peace and quite. She will snuggle up in her nice cozy bed. Peaches is very friendly and is always a happy little dog once she has settled into her home. She would make a perfect companion to someone who is retired and around during the day for her. Have you got the time and patience to let this sweet girl steal your heart?
