Max's Profile

Max is a handsome little chap who is looking for a new home through no fault of his own.

Max is very friendly with people. He has lived in an adult only home, however he is friendly with children so he could live either in a home where any children are teenagers or he would be happy in an adult only home. When visitors come to the house he will initially bark however once they are in the house he does quickly settle. Max travels well in the car and loves to look out the window. He can be left for a couple of hour at a time and is quite happy and relaxed however he may have a wee if he has been left for longer than he is comfortable with. He isn’t destructive in any way when left and generally has the run of the house, however his favourite spot is on the sofa. He would prefer to have company for some of the day.

Max loves a bath and gets very excited when he knows he is getting one. He has also been to the groomers for a little tidy up and he was very well behaved when getting his bath! Max is very people orientated and enjoys being in the company of people. He is a very sociable little dog with people and has lots of love to give. Max is full of beans and you will often find him playing with his toys, his favourite are his soft toys. In the evenings Max likes to snuggle down next to you and relax on the sofa. Max is very clever and will let you know if he needs out for a toilet break as he will go to the back door and bark a couple of times.

Unfortunately Max isn’t great with other dogs or animals. He has a strong Terrier instinct to chase small furries so he is looking to be the only pet in the home. When out walking his current owner goes for nice walks where he may not bump into many other dogs. Ideally in his new home his new owner will continue some training with Max and hopefully he will become more manageable around other dogs. Max is full of energy and loves nothing more than going for nice daily walks where he can have a good run around off lead. He has a good recall however he is only off lead in secure areas where there are no other dogs. He does pull when walking on the lead but is used to wearing a Halti which has helped with this.

Max is looking for an experienced Terrier owner who will ideally have experience of having a dog that doesn’t like other dogs. He would love his own secure garden to relax in and where he can have a good off lead run around in the security of his own garden and without the fear of meeting another dog. Can you offer this sweet boy a warm spot on your sofa?
